Our Mission
The Volusia County Democratic Black Caucus is committed to empowering, educating, and engaging the Black community within Volusia County to foster political participation, advocate for social and economic justice, and amplify the voices of Black voters. We strive to build a strong, unified network that champions progressive policies, enhances civic engagement, and advances equity, inclusion, and fairness in our local, state, and national politics.
Vision Statement
Under the leadership of President Danny Fuqua, the Volusia County Democratic Black Caucus envisions a future where the Black community is fully represented and actively participates in the political process. We aim to create a more equitable and inclusive society by cultivating strong leadership, driving voter participation, and advocating for policies that uplift marginalized communities. Our vision is to build a politically engaged and empowered community that holds leaders accountable, promotes justice, and creates opportunities for all.
